InfraPPP Advisory Services has been shortlisted as part of an international team of companies with extensive experience on PPPs.
InfraPPP, jointly with Hatch Goba, (South Africa), Trilegal (India) and ESF Consultants (Kenya), form one of the consortia shortlisted for a PPP Transaction Advisory role in Kenya.
The Republic of Kenya, through the National Treasury, intends to procure a road stretch as a public private partnership so that a private partner will develop, operate and maintain the infrastructure.
This tender process forms part of a package of three PPP transaction advisory roles tendered by the Republic of Kenya in early 2014.
The Government of Kenya has received financing from the International Development Association (IDA) in the form of a credit toward the cost of Infrastructure Finance and Public Private Partnerships Project (IFPPP). The National Treasury intends to apply a portion of the proceeds of this credit for the above mentioned contract.
The project is part of a list of 47 projects that compose the National Priority List of PPP projects.
Jose de la Maza, Partner of InfraPPP, commented:
“Kenya represents a unique opportunity for our firm. The support given by the International Development Association to Kenya’s National PPP Program is a clear sign that the Government is working on the right direction.”
